What Is Bacterial Infection Vaginosis?

Being a woman is difficult at the best of times, but when you have a problem like bacterial infection vaginosis, it can be downright misery. This problem, which affects almost all women at one time in their life, is a bacterial imbalance in the vagina that causes discharge, itching, and a not too pleasant odor. Some women think of it as just a yeast infection and will try home remedies to cure it, but the problem almost always returns.
Most women will not go to the doctor to ask advice about this kind of problem because, quite simply, it is too embarrassing to talk about, and you certainly don’t want a doctor, either male or female, inspecting your region when it is in that state. But, if you do go to a doctor, they will usually just prescribe a cream or some antibiotics to treat it. After a few days, it may go away, but when the pills are gone and you are out of cream, the bacteria will usually take over again and you will actually be worse off than when you started.
