What Is Bacterial Infection Vaginosis?

Posted by admin on

photo_8787_20091017Being a woman is difficult at the best of times, but when you have a problem like bacterial infection vaginosis, it can be downright misery. This problem, which affects almost all women at one time in their life, is a bacterial imbalance in the vagina that causes discharge, itching, and a not too pleasant odor. Some women think of it as just a yeast infection and will try home remedies to cure it, but the problem almost always returns.

Most women will not go to the doctor to ask advice about this kind of problem because, quite simply, it is too embarrassing to talk about, and you certainly don’t want a doctor, either male or female, inspecting your region when it is in that state. But, if you do go to a doctor, they will usually just prescribe a cream or some antibiotics to treat it. After a few days, it may go away, but when the pills are gone and you are out of cream, the bacteria will usually take over again and you will actually be worse off than when you started.

Can You Treat Vaginosis Infection?

Posted by admin on

photo_6269_20090506If you are a woman who has suffered from a chronic case of vaginosis infection, then you most certainly understand that this is one of the most difficult female problems to get rid of. Many doctors don’t take it seriously, and even if they do, they don’t know how to treat it. They often don’t think of this as a serious problem, but rather an inconvenience, and as such, they take it lightly.

The odor, discharge, and itching that goes along with it is not tolerable, and no women should have to deal with it.

How to Find Treatment for Vaginosis

Posted by admin on

photo_5812_20090414If it makes you feel any better, if you are looking for treatment for vaginosis, you are not alone. Almost all women, at one time in their life, will suffer from this problem and a lot of them will not even look for a cure. They will suffer in silence. The truth is that it is usually too embarrassing to visit a gynecologist when you are suffering from vaginosis, because the last thing you want is for someone to go inspecting down there.

Treatment for vaginosis has historically been in the form of simple antibiotics. But, many antibiotics actually cause yeast infections, so the likelihood of them helping treat a problem such as vaginosis is highly unlikely. You may get a few days’ relief, but the problem will return, and when it does, it will be worse.

Can Vaginosis Bacteria Be Eliminated?

Posted by admin on

photo_5562_20090404My mom used to tell me that some women are just prone to getting vaginosis bacteria, and others are lucky enough never to get it. Apparently, she was one of those who had the problem for most of her life and she never treated it. Of course, she would buy over-the-counter creams to relieve some of the symptoms, but she never got rid of the growth of bacteria.

Well, I guess I am also one of those unlucky women who suffer from the problem. I have had vaginosis bacteria for most of my life and just dealt with it. When I wasn’t seeing someone, it wasn’t so much of a problem. The biggest and most offensive symptom is, of course, the odor, so if I wasn’t going to get close to someone, it didn’t matter. But, once I got married, it did matter and I wanted to find a permanent cure as soon as possible.

BV as it is also known, is a real physical condition that causes not only physical harm but emotional harm to a woman and one that many women live with for their entire lives.
